Have you also followed the high school and college marching bands that do formations in parades but most especially in half times? I'm impressed that they can play an instrument and remember when to go which direction and turn. Is there a name for those drilling musicians?Barbara Rogershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08351113054045427775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447020772809150478.post-4553782022973883482014-10-26T08:49:35.652-04:002014-10-26T08:49:35.652-04:00When I clicked on the last image to enlarge it all...When I clicked on the last image to enlarge it all I could see was that one man had cleaned his shoes and the other hadn't ;)Alex Dawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05083753053051713061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447020772809150478.post-36517679713658929852014-10-25T19:25:30.131-04:002014-10-25T19:25:30.131-04:00I was interested to read about the short swords an...I was interested to read about the short swords and attaching them to an instrument. The giant plumes on the hats are also amusing when contrasted with the tiny plumes. I wonder when a uniform was designed in those days if it was a democratic process or if one person dictated what the uniform would be.
