I love that a tea company got into the act and used one of these -- perhaps assuming tea drinkers would be partial to high-brow music? Like Barb, I was also interested in the geometric design from the back of one of the cards, which appears quite contemporary. As for the corset ad -- it is good to see that health and breathability had become a selling point by the late 1800s, but nice that they were abandoned altogether by the early 1900s!Molly's Canopyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01571003887840906315noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447020772809150478.post-51885119841517900912018-10-28T20:03:01.316-04:002018-10-28T20:03:01.316-04:00Your musical trading cards are a hoot! I don't recognize any musical notation, but it looks a bit like an abstract interpretation of piano keys or harp strings.Mike Brubakerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13065245846262417519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447020772809150478.post-72255106714912887522018-10-28T09:40:09.696-04:002018-10-28T09:40:09.696-04:00Oh what lovely painted caricatures! What I didn't understand was the photo of lines at perpendicular angles...with a dark place interspersed on each one. Is that a kind of musical notation? I've never seen it before.Barbara Rogershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08351113054045427775noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447020772809150478.post-19422409369973556072018-10-28T03:44:24.154-04:002018-10-28T03:44:24.154-04:00A wonderful collection of trade cards . Many are great fun, but design wise, my favourite is the lovely blue and white card.

ScotSuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01412874349376253984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4447020772809150478.post-41009214329410165542018-10-27T14:25:03.445-04:002018-10-27T14:25:03.445-04:00A delightful collection.
